Out of Town....New Paltz

Clare and I ventured westward following church today to New Paltz, N.Y., where we attended the  Woodstock-New Paltz Crafts Fair. The ride was nice on a clear, beautiful day. New Paltz is a super-active small village, due to having a branch of the State University located there. Lots of shops, lots of people, and lots to look at. Bit of a traffic bind in the heart of town but otherwise ok.

There are a series of large tents which house the almost 200 exhibitors. Lots of jewelery people, pottery, glass works, woodworkers, fibers and more!  There also happened to be a few good food vendors there as well! (you don't expect me not to eat do you?)

As the sun was sinking in the west, we were headed back east on the FDR-Poughkeepsie Bridge. The shadows are so long and definitely different at this time of the year. The American Flag had a good wave in it as we passed underneath.
