day is done.....gone is the sun....

What just moments before was a world filled with color, scenery suddenly changes to just a very few shades of colors as the sun disappears into the western sky. These fast differences have to be almost taken with a motor-driven camera as they happen almost in the blink of the eye.......

If you are wondering where, this is from just over the New York State side of Dakin Road, looking due-west. The hill would be what I always refer to as Sunset Ridge, just about midway between Amenia and Millerton. The lighted facility you see I believe is part of The MacEnroe Farm complex.
