Wednesday evening, shortly after 6p.m. A group started gathering in the plaza. By 6:30 there was a good size group of what I presume were all Cub Scouts, with some Boy Scouts doing some advising, and a whole bunch of parent volunteers and big brothers and sisters as well. The job that was about to begin? Cleaning up all around the plaza, Murtagh Road, Amy's yard, Salisbury and Union Bank's yard and xtramart as well. Obviously part of earning some merit-type of badge I am sure was all of this good work. And the town became a whole bunch cleaner, trash-wise..And there was a nice treat at the end. xtramart gave a junior cone of soft-serve to each of the participants. Nice gesture on their part!
